is a reality TV show, set in the Australian jungle. The show was adapted from the British original I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!
. In the first week, the audience decide via telephone voting which one of the stars should make different battles to get food for the group. In the second and final week, they decide again via a voting who is leaving the camp.
During the first two seasons, the RTL network became a image determent airing the show, described as ugly and humiliated. The network took a break over more than three years, before the show returned. Surprisingly, the critics got better, thanks to the comedic hosting of the presenters Dirk Bach and Sonja Zietlow, who became the real stars of the show.
In spite of bad reviews in the first two seasons, the show had always great ratings. Over five million viewers watch the show constantly. And with more than 25% market share in the target group, the show is the most successful reality program in Germany at the moment.
