Ironside: Where are you going?
Mark: To look for Janet myself.
Ironside: Mark, we have a very efficient police department. It's members are well trained and they perform their jobs with dedication.
Mark: So do I. Look, Chief, I think I can do some good. Okay?
Ironside: Okay, but you'd better take Ed with you.
Mark: Bad idea where I'm going.
Eve: The picture bombed, you know.
Ironside: All of her pictures bombed except for the first. (Eve stares at him) I keep up on these things.
(after Mark is injured)
Eve: He'll be all right, Chief, I'm sure of it.
Ed: Look, you can't blame yourself. You didn't ask him to go on..
Ironside: I didn't ask him, but I let him. He put his head into a meat grinder, I should have known better.
Eve: You couldn't have stopped him if you wanted to.
Ironside: Get your picture taken. We'll keep you posted.
Mark: (in a wheelchair) Ah, race you down the hall, Chief.
Ironside: No. When you've had a little more practice.
Ed: Then you completed your business with Mr. Rich and left for the airport in a big hurry.
Phil Lewis: I had to catch a plane. Is that a crime?
Ed: Oh no, no, not at all, people do it all the time. But most of them don't run when they're approached by a couple of police officers.
