One of the most influential series of the 1970s, Kung Fu coupled spirituality and Eastern religion with kick-ass action. Kung Fu is an essential addition to any DVD collection for those looking for action-packed thrills with a philosophical edge.
Set in the 1870s and the American Southwest and in flashbacks, China. The series follow Kwai Chang Caine (David Carradine), Schooled in the spirit-mind-body Shaolin priesthood by the blind, avuncular Master Po and the stern yet loving Master Kan. Caine speaks softly but hits hard. He lives humbly yet knows great contentment.
Having fled China on a £10,000 murder bounty, Caine continues his search in America for his half brother, Danny Caine. While searching for him Kwai is sought by Chinese assassins and American bounty hunters. He continues to help others to his own detriment, getting himself into difficult situations that he has to diffuse with his verbal and Kung Fu skills. His training at the Shaolin Temple proves he has enough words of wisdom and lightning moves to ensure his quest continues.
