(Jim and Steve visit Anne and Billy in the hospital.)
Jim: Billy looks bad, I hope he's going to be alright.
Anne: (Sounding like she's dying.) Oh, don't worry about Billy. He's going to be fine. The doctors, they can't figure out what's wrong with me. Ooh.. If I'm not dead in three days it'll be soon after that.
Jim: Mom you're not dying.
Anne: (Drops the sick act and sounds offended) Who are you to say I'm not dying? Your not a doctor!
Jim: Yeah, but a doctor outside just told me your not dying. You've got a blood clot in your leg. You've got diabetes so it's taking a little while longer to heal up. You're going to be in here for a week or something.
Anne: You've gained weight.
(Steve and Jim visit Anne and Billy in the hospital.)
Jim: You use to call me (Intercom tone covers the expletive)*&^% face.
Anne: Only because you called me that first.
Jim: I was five! I was five! You were the adult.
(Steve and Billy agree to hit the call button and Billy plays dead.)
Steve: Nurse! My brother is not breathing. (Stands up and moves out of the way)
(Nurse comes in and clears the room)
Jim: What's wrong with Billy?
Steve: Nothing, I just hit the call button because you looked like you needed help.
(Jim hugs Steve)
Anne: Stop seeking attention!
(Jim forces a meeting with his agent to try to escape from L.A.)
Mike: I've been trying to get you parts forever. The movie people, they don't want you ever since you raped that girl.
Jim: Ever since I made the joke. I made a joke Mike.
Mike: Well, your name is associated with rape.
Jim: Associated with rape? I'm associated with ra... So when you think of Jim Jefferies you think of rape?
Mike: Uh huh.
Jim: Seems unfair, since I've never raped.
(Janice visits Billy and gets to meet Anne.)
Anne: You know, you are very lucky to have Billy. I know he can't move, but at least you know where he is at all times.
Janice: I'm sorry, lucky? Lucky?
Janice: (Now yelling at Anne.) You think this is lucky? You know what Anne? Maybe you shouldn't be so hard on Jim.
Anne: Excuse me?
Janice: You can't keep putting your children down.
Billy: Who are you?
