This episode truly was a family affair. Not only does the entire NBC cast appear, as noted, but it was written by a team of husband and wife, Jim Evering and Dorothy Van.
Though she received Story and/or Story Editor credits on other episodes she was in as "Aunt Effie", this is the only episode Dorothy Van received Writer credit for (and even that was shared with Jim Evering) that had Effie in it.
Shown as the 7th episode in syndication.
This is Earl Boen's first appearance as 'Reverend Meachum.'
This episode is the only one to feature the whole cast from the NBC run.
Naomi: Had I known that you had an upright (vaccum), we could have been borrowing bags from each other right along.
Mama: Well, who would ever had dreamed we had so much in common.
(Eunice is acting up during her solo)
Mama: Get a grip on yourself Eunice, or I'll kill you!
(Eunice storms in, unhappy about not getting the ring)
Rev. Meachum: Weddings can be upsetting occasions.
Ed: I know mine was.
(Vint's Wedding vows)
Vint: I promise to stay together with you for as long as we both shall think it's a good idea.
(Eunice just found out that the sapphire ring she wanted was given to Vint)
Eunice: Old lady, this time you've gone too far.
Fran: It's just that if I do not get into the bathroom before Buzz and Sonya get back, I won't have a chance to bathe.
Mama: Well then just hose yourself down in the front yard!
