Deputy Marshall Sam McCloud from Taos, New Mexico ends up in New York City in his quest to recapture an escaped prisoner. After recapturing the prisoner, he ends up staying in New York City on a temporary assignment under Chief Peter B. Clifford in Manhattan's 27th Precinct.

A great show of the 1970's genre. Dennis Weaver is Marshal Sam McCloud of Taos, New Mexico. He goes to New York City on an Intercity Exchange Program in learning law and order. In the process, he gives New York City a lesson in frontier justice(being from out west) and different theories of law to the cantankerous Chief Peter B. Clifford and Sgt. Joe Broadhurst. Read more
