The Seven Network as it's known today began broadcasting in Australia in 1963 and was originally known as the Australian Television Network. The network's headquarters are in Sydney. The channel is the second most watched network in Australia.
HSV-7 and ATN-7 were the channels in the Melbourne and Sydney areas prior to 1963. The channels first started broadcasting in 1956 and became part of the Australian Television Network when it launched. They both still remain affiliates to The network.
The network shows a mixture of Australian and imported series as well as live sport. Popular home grown series include Home And Away, Deal Or No Deal, All Saints and Dancing With The Stars. Shows from America which currently air on the network include Prison Break, 24 and Desperate Housewives.
