Unlike last time when it came down to whether original series regular Cote de Pablo would return to ‘NCIS’ as Ziva David, the entire cast of the CBS Navy procedural will return for Season 12, TVLine exclusively reports.
Fans can rejoice in knowing that Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs), Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo), Sean Murray (Timothy McGee), Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), David McCallum (Donald “Ducky” Mallard), Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer), Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) and newcomer Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) will all be back and ready to grab their gear for another season.

This absolutely deserves a celebratory Gibbs head slap!
While Harmon, Dietzen and Wickersham are on different contract cycles, Murray, Perrette, McCallum and Carroll have all “signed on the dotted line.” As for Weatherly, TVLine reports he’s almost ready to return for Seasons 12 and 13 -- his contract is “due to close imminently.”

The Season 11 finale is set to air Tuesday, May 13, and it’s sure to be an emotional one, as the final season episode will honor the late Ralph Waite who played Gibbs’ father, Jackson. As TVLine previously reported, showrunner Gary Glasberg said, “Because the season was as complicated as it was, we just didn’t feel like we needed to do a traditional cliffhanger. We wanted to ground everything and get things back to ‘normal.’”
So, no cliffhanger, but fans, and the characters, will get to bid Jackson farewell.
The ‘NCIS’ Season 11 penultimate episode airs this Tuesday at 8/7c on CBS.
