Written by Rob Bragin (‘Greek’) and directed by Alex Graves (‘The West Wing’), 'Proof' focuses on a surgeon, Dr. Kathryn Ross, who is keen to investigate cases on reincarnation, out-of-body experiences and hauntings, in order to find proof to the ultimate question: is there life after death? She's also struggling with a tragic family death so that probably has something to do with her obsession.
Sedgwick will exec-produce the drama alongside her manager, Jill Littman, producer Tom Jacobson, as well as Bragin and Graves. The series reunites Sedgwick with TNT following her seven-season run with the hit show, 'The Closer.'
'Public Morals' is written, starring and produced by Burns, who starred in the network's short-lived drama, 'Mob City.' 'Public Morals' is a 1960s police drama, in which the morals of the NYPD are continually tested. Burns plays cop, Terry Muldoon, who's doing his best to be honest in a temptation-filled world.

In other TNT news, the network passed on 'Guilt By Association,' starring Julia Stiles. Also, Sharon Stone's 'Agent X' is still in contention as TNT is retooling the pilot for future consideration.
