Following a whirlwind of series renewals and pick-up orders, ABC has apparently decided that it's time to start dishing out the bad news, starting with the cancellation of two of its freshman sitcoms, 'Trophy Wife' and 'Mixology,' along with sophomore comedy 'The Neighbors' and third-time-out 'Suburgatory.'
Since then, Rebel Wilson's 'Super Fun Night' has also been given the boot.
The loss of 'Trophy Wife,' in particular, is a heavy blow to the network, given the cast was made up of some pretty serious A-list talent, starring the likes of Malin Akerman, Bradley Whitford, and Marcia Gay Harden. As of now, the network has declined to comment on any of the cancellations, however, both Akerman and Harden have taken to Twitter to confirm the news.

Akerman wrote, "Thank u all for your loyalty and passion #TrophyWife fans. We had a blast! Sad to see it go but happy to have lifelong family out there." Meanwhile, Harden tweeted, "Thank u 4 watching beloved fans. Parting is such sweet sorrow...@TrophyWifeABC cancelled just hours ago. @ABC_Publicity #season2watch #:("
Since then, 'Mixology's Frankie Shaw has also commented on the social media site, stating that the bar-centric series would not be returning next fall. "Sad day. Love to all you #Mixology fans," he wrote. "Keep watching! Great episodes left, esp the finale."
In other news, Lauren Iungerich's pilot 'Damaged Goods' starring Anna Camp has been passed over by the network for a series order. Camp's co-star Jennifer Aspen broke the news to her fans on Twitter, writing "I'm sad to report that the #LaurenIungerich pilot I did with the lovely and talented @TheRealAnnaCamp for ABC is a no go for series. #Boooo"
