Earlier this week the rumor train was running with a tweet that the American Idol judge made about the show and her future on it. When hints came out that Jennifer Lopez was not going to renew the contract with the singing competition show, she took to Twitter and posted "There is no truth to reports that say I am definitely leaving Idol. All I said was I haven't decided what I am doing next year." This comes as a relief to most because they have loved watching her judge the competition on their singing styles all year. Originally, the rumors started because of E! Online reporting that "sources" say that she will not be returning to the show next year. This is mainly due to the international tour that she is going on with fellow Latin singer Enrique Iglesias.
However, despite the article, Jennifer Lopez says that her fans don't have to worry and posted via Twitter hours after the rumor started. American Idol has had their fair share of judges coming and going. From the first season, the only original judge to be on the show still is Randy Jackson. With the possiblity that Jennifer Lopez will be leaving Idol, she would be joining the ranks of past judges. Do you think that Jennifer Lopez will stay on as a judge? With the rumors being backed by even Jennifer Lopez when she appeared on Ellen that doing 'Idol' is hard and that it locks her down, it is hard to judge whether or not the tweet that Jennifer sent out denying the rumor. However, the question still remains.
Should American Idol get a fresh new judge on the panel? Do you think that Jennifer Lopez was too easy with the contestants this year and therefore doesn't deserve her spot?
