Debuting during the first commercial break in 'Arrow's Season 2 finale, the promo gives viewers a chance to see Barry Allen (played by 'Glee's Grant Gustin) in his full "flashy" ensemble while showing off his skills in front of Oliver Queen aka The Arrow.

@Kellida - Mark Hamill didn't play the Flash in the 90's series, he played a villain named James Jesse aka The Trickster.

As for the new costume. It's a little too much DareDevil (Ben Affleck) and not "Flash" enough. I hope the series will be as well written as Arrow, but I hope the costume gets irreparably damaged and a new, sleeker, comic-styled costume replaces it. CW needs to stop being so afraid of really bringing superheroes to life, costume and all.

My favorite DC Hero I hope it is good. Though not the first TV Flash Mark Hamill played the Flash in 1991. I will watch and hope for the best since I really like Arrow also. : )

If it's half as good as Arrow turned out to be then i'll be happy.

The CW, of course, has always been so embarassed by comic-book costumes that they avoid them like the plague (Clark Kent took ten years to wear his ten seconds, and Oliver Queen went nearly two years before masking himself)--and it's kind of a step up that the Flash begins his "run" with one. But geez, could it be more hideous, with all its design "improvements," including superfluous seams and Naugahyde ripples? And the Flash in the comics hasn't ever been embarrassed to wear a bright red costume, but of course, this new Flash needs to be darker than even the dreadful John Wesley Shipp version to be "realistic"--in marked contrast, of course, to the ridiculous plotting, if it's anything like ARRROW has been. Let's hope that, at least, this incarnation of the Flash doesn't turn out to be the murderer the same producers turned Green Arrow into.
