FX Releases Dark and Ominous Trailer for 'The Strain'
Six weeks out, and we’ve at last got our first extended look at the much anticipated Guillermo del Toro-led supernatural series ‘The Strain.’
FX has released a 30-second trailer full of panic, tension, and del Toro’s recognizable beautiful and eerie color palette – there are a lot of blues and oranges. Also too, we've some creepy faces and ominous words.
Created by del Toro and Chuck Hogan, the 13-episode series is based on their horror novel trilogy of the same name, and follows a CDC operative and his team who investigate a viral outbreak that finds its way to New York City via an airplane. The airplane is also full of corpses, and this evil strain seems to have vampiric qualities, so it might be the end of the world.
Del Toro and Hogan penned the pilot. The series stars Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Kevin Durand and Mia Maestro.
‘The Strain’ airs on FX on Sunday, June 13, and you can check out the trailer below.
