“Bachelorette” Emily Maynard visited "Live with Kelly" Monday morning to talk about her journey on the show and finding love.
For those who missed the premiere, Emily met all her suitors and one guy even flew down in a helicopter. Another gentleman is an open-wheel driver, which makes you wonder if Emily loves that lifestyle, knowing her late fiancé Ricky Hendrick was a NASCAR driver. Making a lasting impression, someone proposed on the first night. Why the rush?
Anyways, the bachelorette said at the end it was all worth it.
"You know what, it was a really good learning experience for me. If any of those guys had come up to me out [on the town], I would've said 'Absolutely not. Thank you, but no thank you.' But I gave them a chance and they gave me a chance and they really are great guys," says Emily.
If you thinking the bachelorette are going to have a hard time looking for love this season, you are not the only one. Both host Kelly Ripa and co-host Taye Diggs feel like the group of men fighting for the southern belle’s attention are not good enough.
When asked about some of the weirder moments on the show, the hosts said Travis’ ostrich egg gift was a little strange. Emily agreed.
"It was very weird and I didn't know what to say, but I told him he needs to lose the egg. They named it Shelly and you'll see the end of Shelly," Emily said.
Despite all the drama and crazy antics, the point of the show is for the bachelorette to find true love and Emily has done that.
"I learned so much about myself and I fell in love, so that to me is worth it."
Who’s the lucky guy? You must watch “The Bachelorette” every Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC for the next following weeks to find out.
