Michael C. Hall is returning to the small screen. Almost a year after his role as the title character on Showtime’s Emmy winning series ‘Dexter’ came to an end, Hall has signed on to star in another leading role in Stanley Kubrick’s new miniseries ‘God Fearing Man.’
‘God Fearing Man’ will tell the true story of Canadian minister Herbert Emerson Wilson, a man who became one of the most notorious bank robbers and most skilled safecrackers of the early 20th century. Hall will be starring as Wilson and will also be executive producing the miniseries. ‘God Fearing Man’ is being adapted into a miniseries by British screenwriter Stephen R. Clark.
According to eOne Television’s executive VP Michael Rosenberg, Hall is perfect for the role. "Kubrick’s God Fearing Man presents a larger-than-life story with a complicated protagonist who undergoes a radical transformation. We knew we had to secure a leading man with the immense talent and charisma needed to carry the project, and we were dedicated to putting in the diligent time and effort to find the perfect fit.” Rosenberg went on to say, “We cannot be more pleased to have Michael on board, who has time and again demonstrated an uncanny ability to portray captivating characters who must grapple with fundamental internal struggles.”
Don’t worry though, ‘Dexter’ fans, this will in no way interfere with the possibility of Hall returning for a ‘Dexter’ spinoff, as network president David Nevins said they would never do the spinoff without him.
