Downton Abbey - It's back and it is better than ever!

Today I was privileged to attend the first official press screening of the first episode of series 5 of 'Downton Abbey'. The show starts with a homage to the First World War but times are changing for the family with there being a Labour Government controlling the country.

The episode featured humour as well as high drama and saw a former character returning causing friction in the Crawley household.

Over the next few weeks we will be publishing a series of interviews with many of the starring and supporting cast members who offered a fascinating take on why they think the series is so popular around the world.

If you love Downton Abbey you are in for a treat this year. The series will also feature some great guest stars including Richard E. Grant, James Faulkner and Matt Barber.

The show's fifth series will air later this year on itv in the UK, with a US transmission on PBS in early 2015 and a Australian transmission on Seven later in the year.

Strange that you continued to watch it. That's the first time I've ever heard of someone not liking the show. Most people who don't like a new series usually don't continue watching a whole season, let alone all 4 seasons.

"...better than ever!"

It certainly couldn't be any worse.  Season 1 was OK, after that it turned into a bad primetime soap :-(
