Have no fear RHONJ fans, after a short break, the housewives are back this week to pick up right where they left off. As seems to be the theme this season, Teresa continues to be in the center of the drama with conflict coming from all angles.
The last time we saw the New Jersey housewives, Teresa’s daughter Gia was the one bringing the drama to the table with a serious case of poor sportsmanship at Jacqueline’s family field day. After her team lost to the opposing team which just so happened to contain her mom and Joe and Melissa Gorga, Gia literally threw a temper tantrum complete with crying and screaming. Caroline and Jacqueline tried to discuss the questionable behavior with Gia, with Jacqueline indulging, perhaps, just a bit in reading her a children’s picture book about poor sports. Gia was not having it and her crying finally beckoned her mother’s attention in which Teresa promptly told Caroline and Jacqueline to mind their own business when it came to her kids.
This week, the Manzo Guidice feud continues when Teresa is invited to the wedding of Caroline’s brother Jaime and his long time partner Rich. Caroline is less than thrilled to have the Guidices at the special occasion, explaining that she blames Teresa for some of her own family’s conflict, which I would assume revolves around her sister Dina, who opted not to attend the wedding. With so much hostility and pent up emotion, it seems like a recipe for disaster, especially with Teresa’s husband Joe, who is not known for his charisma as of late, in attendance.
Over at the House of Wakile, Kathy’s sister and fan favorite, Rosie has a heart to heart with her niece and nephew to share with them that she is gay. It looks to be an emotional and touching conversation, however, Kathy’s son Joe eases the tension with some questions and comments that could only come from him (or his dad, Richie, of course). With so much tension happening throughout the rest of the housewives relationships, we can be thankful for the comedic relief that comes in the form of the Wakile family and their interactions with each other.
No matter where the setting, whether at a solstice party, field day, or a wedding, the drama seems to follow Teresa wherever she goes. Tonight’s episode is no exception and we may see the tension between Caroline and Teresa finally come to a bit of a head. One thing is for certain, there is no shortage of drama in the Garden State this season.
