Fringe: The Complete Fourth Season DVD and Blu-ray Details Revealed

Fringe's fourth and penultimate season wrapped up quietly last month with the two-part finale "Brave New World." The show will air its thirteen-episode final season in the fall, with a storyline focusing on the Observers' attempt to take over our universe -- a future glimpsed in season 4's "Letters of Transit." 

For fans looking to catch up with the fourth season on DVD or Blu-ray, the release date and cover art for both sets have been announced. The set will see release on September 4, 2012, presumably a few weeks before the fifth season premiere (as is tradition). 

The cover art for the sets is a variation upon the season 4 poster, which was somewhat disappointing in terms of detail and composition (though the hidden Observers are pretty darn cool), in my opinion. In any case, the added blue tint certainly gives the image a more mysterious vibe.
