Fresh off playing the lead in the recently canceled CBS drama A Gifted Man, Patrick Wilson has just booked a one way ticket for NYC. His destination? The upcoming second season of the much-talked about HBO dark comedy series Girls.
Created by 26-year-old actress and filmmaker Lena Dunham, Girls follows the turbulent lives and loves of a close knit group of 20-something women living in the big apple. Much of the show's backstory and the lead character that Dunham portrays is heavily based on the actress' real life experiences trying to get by in one of the toughest cities in the world. The remainder of the main cast is largely unknown, although most are the offspring of notable Hollywood names.
Wilson is set to play Joshua, a doctor in his 40's who lives near where Dunham's character Hannah Horvath works. Despite the obvious age difference, Joshua is set to become a potential love interest for Hannah, leading her life to become even more complicated. Fans will remember that Hannah just got over a relationship with the rather aloof Adam Sackler in season one, so maybe old doctor Josh is her rebound guy.
Do you think Patrick Wilson will help make season two of Girls a memorable one? Are you interested in a relationship between he and Lena Dunham's characters?
