Hank Moody had an up and down year in 2012. He began and ended relationships, he wrote screenplays, consorted with volatile rappers, and continued his habit of having sex with nearly anything that moves. What will 2013 have in store for the world's most irresistible writer? We now know some details about just that.
The show's sixth season will feature David Duchovny's Hank working with "mad-as-a-hatter" rock star Atticus Fetch, as played by Australian comedian/musician Tim Minchin. Minchin is a fast rising name in the world of comedy, and chances are you've probably seen his act on a late night show or two. Minchin's Fetch will be writing the music for the Broadway adaptation of the in-universe film A Crazy Little Thing Called Love, which was itself adapted (quite poorly) from Hank's magnum opus novel God Hates Us All.
In other Californication news, shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has signed up to guest star on the seventh episode of season six. Manson will be playing himself (naturally), and will have what is described as an "unforgettable run-in" with Hank at Atticus Fetch's house. After all, it only makes sense that a crazed rocker like Fetch would hang out with a crazed rocker like Marilyn Manson. Considering the show's incredibly wild nature when it comes to sex, drugs, and violence, I can only imagine what kind of debauchery Manson and Moody will engage in together.
Do you like the new plotline for season six of Californication? Will Marilyn Manson make for a memorable guest star?
