X Factor UK Declares A Winner!

"Little Mix", Marcus Collins and Amelia Lily smileYes, X Factor UK has done it again! This time it was between Marcus Collins and “Little Mix” in the X Factor Final. With two diverse styles of music, Marcus was more of a gospel sounding soul while “Little Mix” was the first girl Pop band to make it into the Finals of X Factor. The competition was competitive as the contestants Amelia Lily, “Little Mix” and Marcus Collins took to the stage on Saturday night. Once Amelia Lily was voted out of the competition, it was Marcus and “Little Mix” who remained to battle out for the spot as the X Factor winner. With a tight race, it was the right contestant to win X Factor. The winner of the competition was…

“Little Mix”! Yes the “Little Muffins”, as Tulisa calls them, have made history on the UK version of The X Factor for being the first Group/Girl Band to win the X Factor. For Jesy Nelson (20), Jade Thirlwall (18), Perrie Edwards (18) and Leigh-Anne Pinnock (19), who started off as solo artists and then formed into a band called “Rhythmix” and then were told to change their name to “Little Mix”, this has been an adventure and they have been getting along ever since. The girls, even though they come from different backgrounds, mesh well and are spot on with their vocals.

Marcus Collins, who was runner-up on this year’s X Factor, was all smiles for “Little Mix” and says that he did what he could to make it that far and is proud of “Little Mix” as well. Marcus, who came into the competition from being a hairdresser, is not going to have to cut hair anymore, unless for fun. Gary Barlow has told that he will “look after” Marcus and it will not be the end that we hear from him. Thus, X Factor closes the season on a historical night and “Little Mix” was ecstatic and shocked to hear that they were the winners of this year’s X Factor!
