Steven Tyler Leaves 'Idol'

steven tylerWell, after 2 seasons on American Idol, the newly rejoined band member of Aerosmith has decided that it is time for him to focus more on the band rather than judging the talent show. A while back, Jennifer Lopez hinted that she was going to be leaving the show and then quickly said that it was taken out of context. With Tyler, he decided to make the first walkout and leave 'American Idol' for good. However, many wonder as well if Jennifer Lopez will follow behind. With both singers getting their singing career jumpstarted again thanks to the popularity of 'Idol', both Tyler and Lopez have seen a jump in their sales as they released hit after hit on the charts. (Mostly Lopez with "Get on the Floor") However, what does this mean for 'Idol'?

Well, for starters, this means that the American Idol family is going to be shopping around for judges. There have already been rumors as to who would be that third judge including Adam Lambert, Season 8 runner-up, and Miley Cyrus. With Jennifer Lopez hinting further that she was thinking more about leaving to do things that she loves and then saying that 'Idol' is a good show, it might be time for her to leave as well. However, as of now, it is only Tyler who has decided to leave and the creators are looking to replace him with someone new. The producers have loved having Tyler come on 'Idol' and give the years that he did. Farewell Steven. We all look forward to your new album when it hits shelves in November. What do you think of the exit? Do you think that Adam Lambert or Miley Cyrus are a good choice for 'Idol'. Since the show is trying to show that it is not so much a family show anymore, it might be a good change.

Adam Lambert shoots his mouth off in ways he shouldn't and also barely has a career going let alone the experience to be a judge. Even thinking of considering him as a judge is showing just how desperate "American Idol" has become as far as getting judges is concerned. Now with also considering Miley Cyrus just made "American Idol" even more desperate as if that was possible and it proved it can be as is with the consideration of Miley Cyrus.

I don't understand why American Idol has decided not to be a family show anymore. My adult children now have young children of their own and enjoyed watching the show as a family. Since Jennifer Lopez decided to use the program to promote her own career, it is NOT a family show anymore. So that means that a whole group of viewers are recording instead of watching live. E veryone knows what that means, NO commercials, I can't believe the sponsors will be happy about that. We started recording, not because we have young children in the house, but because we have no interest in watching her vulgar routines. Who wants to watch her dry hunch around the stage, or on one of those male dancers. So all in all we are pretty sad about the quality of the show. Maybe J will leave the show also, one can only hope.

I love Tyler and will be sad to see him go. Just because Adam was only on the show a couple of years ago, doesn't mean he lacks experience. A lot of the idol contenders put in a lot of sweat into their work before auditioning on AI.

I'm a little disappointed that ST and Jlo have used the panel to further their careers. Seems like every time I turned around one of them was performing on stage. Isn't Jenny from the block in the tabloids enough between her marriages, divorces and boy toys? Isn't bad press better than no press at all?  Seems like AI needs real people to judge not just some attention whore. I miss Simon.

Adam doesn't have the experience to justify being a judge. He was just on the show a couple years ago. Miley may be better, but I don't think either are he best choice to replace the talent, experience and personality of Steven Tyler. They need to think bigger...

I will probably blow up my tv if they get Miley Cyrus. Not only would this make it a non family tv show, I think it would cost ratings as well. It's too bad they might decide to go in that direction. My daughter used to be a fan of hers, then saw the news and decided she was no role model for anyone. Adam Lambert would be a great addition.
