Series 7 of 'Doctor Who' will air in August

Matt Smith has confirmed at Comic Con that the upcoming seventh series of 'Doctor Who' will air sometime this August.

The title of the episode 'Asylum of the Daleks' has already been announced as has many cast changes with Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) and Arthur Darvill (Rory) leaving this Christmas and been replaced by new assistant Jenna Louise Coleman. Plus the return of guest characters Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) and Jenny (Catrin Stewart).

Footage from the episode is thought to be aired at the panel at some point this weekened with Matt, Karen and Arthur been joined by Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner, production staff of the hit show at the Doctor Who panel discussion set to take part tomorrow.
