'Duets', the singing competition show that takes Superstars Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, John Legend and Jennifer Nettles out of the spotlight for a moment and puts them in the judges' seats to pair with amatures, has declared a winner for 2012 Season One! The judgment came down to J Rome from Plainfield, NJ, Jason Farol from Torrance, CA and John Glosson from Douglas, GA. After a singing their hearts out with their duet partners, Jennifer Nettles and Kelly Clarkson were unsure who would win against the three Finalists. However, America voted. The winner of 'Duets' Season One is...J Rome from Team Jennifer!
The night began with Bridget Carrington and Olivia Chisholm each coming out with their coaches and singing on the stage for one last time. John Glosson came out with Jennifer and sang "For Good" from Wicked. Jason Farol came out next and sang "Heartbreak Hotel" by Elvis with Kelly. The last performance was by J Rome as he sang "Rhythum of the Night" by Debarge with Jennifer. The results were read and Jason took third place, John took second and J Rome won the prize and a recording contract with Hollywood records! Did America get it right?
Judges Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles seem to think so! The "Sugarland" frontrunner was estatic that one of her amatures made it to the end. This is a first for the show and the producers hope this isn't the last. With the ratings down, do you think that 'Duets' are going to have a second season?
