Last night's episode of Comedy Central's The Daily Show was truly hilarious -- especially in the final segment, which saw host Jon Stewart interviewing his guests Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, star of the upcoming comedy film The Campaign. The exchange quickly got out of hand.
The interview began slowly, with Stewart asking the duo standard questions about how much fun it must have been for them to work together. Ferrell and Galifianakis, deadpan as ever, remarked that there had been several pranks on set, including one where Ferrell fed Galifianakis nuts (for the purposes of the joke, Galifianakis was allergic to nuts). "And I'm not even gay," Galifianakis joked.
But very quickly, both Ferrell and Galifiankis grew tired of Stewart's "lame-ass" questions, and began criticizing him. Stewart quickly grew defensive over being ganged up on, and summoned someone to back him up -- Mad Men's Jon Hamm."You want me to go HAMM on your ass?" Stewart shouted.
Hamm attempted to get Ferrell and Galifianakis to apologize, but soon came to realize that they were right -- Stewart's questions WERE lame. So he moved his chair to the other side of the table, making the fight three against one.
Stewart apologized for his questions, admitting that he thought since it was basic cable television he could ask easy questions. Everything was soon forgiven, and the four exchanged an awkward series of handshakes. It was one of the funnier television moments of the week (and yet another example of why Jon Hamm is hilarious), and you can watch it all here.
