90210 Returns October 8 With Big Guest Stars!

Jason ThompsonSomething major is going on in the 90210 and it’s so secretive and shocking that the cast and producers are completely mum on the subject. For the fifth season of the teen drama producers have confirmed that major guest stars will appear throughout the season.

Lori Loughlin will return to the show to reprise her role as wonder mom Debbie Wilson. In the season finale her son Dixon was in a serious car accident on his way to see his friend Adrianna, so Debbie will stop in town to make sure he’s doing okay. Loughlin left the role in 2011 as her storyline dried up, admitting that the show is more about the teens than the parents, so it was just time. 90210 fans can also expect to see Canadian popstar Carly Rae Jepsen and her hit “Call Me Maybe” in the first episode. Jepsen will play a show in Vegas with Adrianna on the bill.

Later in the season One Tree Hill’s Lindsey McKeon will also join the show as a mentor for Silver who learns she has the Braca gene, which means she is likely to develop breast cancer. McKeon will play Suzanne on a multi-episode arc. Riley Smith is also heading to Beverly Hills for a new love interest for Annie Wilson.

However, the guest star getting most attention is from General Hospital star Jason Thompson. Known to most as Dr. Patrick Drake, Thompson will play Detective Eugene Thompsen who is in town investigating a secret plot that evolves in the first three episodes. Producers will not discuss the storyline but assure that it is a big shocker. 90210 has covered everything from hit and run accidents to teen pregnancy and rape. What could possibly happen next? Maybe Dixon’s accident was an accident after all?

Find out what the big secret is when 90210 returns to The CW on October 8.
