“Ted Mosby is one of the only guys who can say [he's] been left at the altar and been left for at the altar. He’s been on both sides of a crazy equation,” exec producer Craig Thomas told EW . “But we try to write even the crazy turns as real as we can, and the real of it is if you were Ted Mosby you’d say, ‘Victoria, I’m turning this car around. You’ve got to leave this poor bastard Klaus a note.’”
Lennon also co-wrote both "Night at the Museum" films with Reno 911! vet Robert Ben Garant, who played Deputy Travis Junior.
Lennon’s casting isn't the only recent HIMYM casting news. True Blood's Joe Manganiello will return to the show this season, which kicks off Sept. 24 on CBS. Also, Jason Segel is said to be departing the show at the end of this season, to focus on his increasing star status on the big screen. His PR camp is back peddling from comments he made about this being his last season, but reports are that he and Alyson Hannigan both are going to likely be done after this season.
So maybe the show can finally tell everyone who the darned mother is. I can't believe Ted's kids are still listening to this rambling tale. Must be Bob Saget's silky smooth vocal stylings.
