Arrested Development Season 4: First Look at Tobias, Lindsay, and Michael

Arrested Development season 4 is coming, people. Filming commenced on Tuesday, and already photos are starting to leak from the set, giving us the first looks at some of the characters that we've seen in six years. We'll let you look, if you want, but remember -- NO TOUCHING.

The first set photos feature Tobias and Lindsay in an airport. Apparently the dysfunctional couple is still together, although their rebellious daughter Maeby is nowhere to be found (maybe she's who the couple are looking around for in the second photo below). Lindsay (Portia de Rossi) looks like her normal, disaffected, shallow-but-well-dressed self, but Tobias (David Cross) is in a very interesting position. He's wrapped in a body sheet. No, we have no idea why. And no, it does not effectively hide his thunder. Also, in this first photo, I see the tip of a very familiar denim undergarment...

Why are Tobias and Lindsay in an airport? Where have they been in the six years that the show's been off the air? And why are they coming back now? We don't know the answers to these questions, but we really want to.

And, finally, we have our first picture of everyman Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), who looks just like he always does: reliable, buttoned-up, and a little bit self-absorbed.

Counting the set photo Bateman tweeted of Michael Cera (who plays his son George Michael), this means that we have yet to see glimpses of George (Jeffrey Tambor), Oscar (Jeffrey Tambor), Lucille (Jessica Walter), Buster (Tony Hale), Gob (Will Arnett), or Maeby (Alia Shawkat). We'll keep you posted just as soon as we see them.

Even with these awesome photos, it's still hard to believe that one of the best sitcoms of all time is finally coming back. Can you contain your excitement?

Arrested Development season 4 will premiere on Netflix in 2013.
