Entertainment Weekly has reported that ABC's Last Man Standing, starring Tim Allen, is welcoming several new cast members this season, in preparation for its move to Friday nights.
With Tim Doyle (Ellen) as the new showrunner, several roles have been recast, including that of Kristin, Mike Baxter's (Allen) oldest daughter. Amanda Fuller (Grey's Anatomy, Bones) will now play the role, replacing Alexandra Krosney.
Other roles recast include Kristin's son Boyd and Boyd's father Ryan. Boyd was previously played by two toddler twins but now will be played by newcommer Flynn Morrison. No actor has been cast for Ryan yet, but last season he was played by teen idol Nick Jonas, who is rumored to be in talks with American Idol to be a new judge. He's so dreamy!
Returning cast members include Nancy Travis as Baxter's wife Vanessa, Molly Ephraim as the Baxter's middle daughter, Mandy, and Christoph Sanders as Kyle, Baxter's younger co-worker.
I've never seen the show, which follows Baxter, a director of marketing at Outdoor Man, an outdoor sporting goods store in Denver. But with Home Improvement, I've had enough Tim Allen for a lifetime, maybe two. Should I give it a chance? Anyone watch it and think its decent?
