Above is ABC's new poster for the second season of its hit series Revenge. The show was a smash in the Wednesday 10 p.m. spot, drawing the highest ratings ABc had drawn in that spot since the 2006-2007 season of Lost.
Now, Revenge is moving to Sunday nights, but Emily Thorne's (played by Emily VanCamp) quest for revenge is far from over.
In the series, Thorne returns to the Hamptons for the summer, renting a house near the Grayson family. Emily is revealed to be Amanda Clarke, whose father was framed for a crime and sent off to do some hard time. Emily/Amanda never saw him again and has returned for revenge against those that wronged her and her family. Her primary target is Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), who was romatically involved with Clarke's father and ultimately is the one that betrayed him. Over the course of the series, she comes to question her motives and what she is doing.
The second season promises to dig deeper into Emily's story. (If interested in spoilers, they can be found here). The show will be flashing forward a little big from the end of season one, but then rehashing what happened in the time viewers missed.
Here is a trailer for the first season:
