Former Dancing With The Stars finalist and WWE diva Stacy Keibler is set to return to TV soon, but probably not in the type of role you would expect.
Lifetime has just picked up a new reality competition series called Supermarket Superstars, and tapped the lovely Ms. Keibler to host. The ten episode series will pit aspiring food product inventors against each other, with the winner of each show receiving a financial investment in their product, and earning a chance to compete for the ultimate prize in the season finale. The winner of that contest gets their product launched nationally in a major grocery store chain.
Taking a page from the Shark Tank playbook, "Superstars" will feature contestants pitching their products to a panel of industry experts, who will provide constructive criticism to each inventor, and ultimately invest in the winning ideas.
I rarely watch reality shows, but I have to say that I can really appreciate the idea behind shows like this. These are legitimate aspiring business moguls, competing for a chance to make their dreams come true. The winners are also chosen on merit by professionals, instead of it being a simple audience popularity contest. Adding Stacy Keibler to the mix certainly doesn't hurt things either.
Will you tune in to Supermarket Superstars? Or is this show a no sale?
