The Good Wife returns for its third season on CBS Sunday nights this fall. During its fourth season fans can expect some big names to guest star throughout its duration.
Friends' star Matthew Perry will return to The Good Wife, despite landing his own starring role in NBC's Go On. Perry will play Mike Kresteva. Mike is Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies)'s nemesis, which is quite the different role for Perry. The role allows him to explore a different creative side. "I'd never played an all-out bad guy before. The fact that he was basically a sociopath, a guy who would lie to your face, was just so much fun to play," Perry tells Zap2It. Perry is out to expose the truth behind Alicia’s family life as her husband continues to run for office.
Kristin Chenoweth also returns as a political reporter who, much like Mike, is out to uncover the secrets about Alicia's personal life as the secrets of her broken marriage are revealed. Chenoworth's already at work filming her scenes, having experienced a medical scare on set just weeks ago. The good news is though Chenoworth was hit in the head, filming has resumed with photos surfacing this weekend.
Marc Warren was also announced to join season three as Kalinda's manipulative ex-husband. His role definitely adds tension to the story, but also helps Kalinda and Alicia rekindle their friendship.
Aside from Warren, Chenoworth and Perry, The Sopranos' star Annabella Sciorra was just announced as a guest star as well. She will play a "a tough, smart gangland lawyer who's a doppelgänger of [Julianne] Margulies's Alicia", according to TVLine. Can we guess that she will help stir up some trouble behind the scenes in Alicia’s already stressful life?
