As the seventh season of Showtime's Dexter draws closer and closer, the newest addition to the show has admitted that Dexter scares her.
Yvonne Strahovski, who starred as Sarah Walker on Chuck, spoke recently at the Television Critics Association Press Tour about watching all six seasons of Dexter after being cast and the serial killer scaring the crap out of her.
"I had nightmares throughout those three weeks," she said, as reported by the Huffington Post. "I was just in the thick of watching some episode that was pretty creepy. I was home alone and there was a knock at the door. It was some random real estate agent doing door knocks, and it was just so suspicious to me. I remember, at the door, I was like, 'Yes? What do you want?' He then asked me a thousand questions, and I was still completely, very suspicious. I thought for sure he was a serial killer. For sure."
She added that she is excited to join the show and can't wait to get the scripts, so she can find out where the story is going.
Strahovski will be playing Hannah McKay, who she described as a "woman of mystery with a dark past." She works with Dexter investigating a murder mystery.
Dexter returns to Showtime Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. EST.
I'm excited for Yvonne to join the show. I didn't care for the last two seasons of Dexter, but the fact that this is the penultimate season gives me hope. I can't see Dexter ending in a happy place, so I believe the downward spiral begins this year.
