Good news for “Human Giant” fans! Comedians Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer will host the 17th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Though “Human Giant” is long done, both comedians are a huge part of television and film today.
The pair are likely to draw in big ratings for the VH1 event that airs on January 12 at 8 p.m. ET with their no holds barred comedy. If that’s not enough reason to tune in, Fitz and the Tantrums will be the house band between awards and commercial breaks! The band is currently flying up the charts with hits like “Moneygrabber.”
The Critics Choice Movie Award nominees were announced Tuesday morning. “The Artist” and “Hugo” lead the nominations with a combined 22 nominations. “Drive” and “The Help” earned eight nominations as well. Huebel appears in “The Descendants,” which is also nominated for seven awards, can’t wait to see his jokes before these categories! In normal Huebel fashion, he’ll likely poke fun at his performance as his awkward, but sophisticated character.
Where else can you see Huebel and Scheer, you may ask? Huebel stars on Adult Swim’s “Children’s Hospital,” which is currently filming its fourth season, while Scheer is on FX’s “The League” (just renewed for a fourth season as well). Aside from TV roles, Huebel stars in “I Love You Man” and “The Other Guys,” while Scheer’s resume includes “Bride Wars,” “Year One,” and “Piranha 3D.”
The only question we can truly ask ourselves, or at the least hope for, is will Azis Ansari from “Human Giant” appear as well? Perhaps in a T-shirt squad reunion?
