“Up All Night” co-star Maya Rudolph will reunite with a familiar face during the second season of the NBC show.
The Hollywood Reporter said Rachel Dratch has been tapped to guest star in an upcoming episode. Dratch will play Linda, an employee of Valley Copies and fan of Ava (played by Rudolph), who is overjoyed to receive “Ava Show” memorabilia.
The two actresses were Saturday Night Live regular cast members on NBC from 2000 to 2011. Both SNL and “Up All Night” are produced by Lorne Michaels. Rudolph is perhaps best known today for her role in “Bridesmaids.” Dratch has appeared in several TV shows and movies and was originally cast as Jenna on “30 Rock,” according to the Huffington Post.
Dratch will also likely guest star on ABC’s Suburgatory soon. It was recently announced that “Will & Grace’s” Sean Hayes will play Ava’s former accompanist this season in several episodes.
The season two premiere of “Up All Night” will air Thursday, Sept. 20, at 8:30 p.m. The show stars Christina Applegate and Will Arnett as a married couple who recently had a baby, though the show shifted its focus to include Rudolph’s character more after the first few episodes.
