New guest stars announced for Bob's Burgers

Fox's Bob's Burgers was recently nominated for a Best Animated Series Emmy. Riding the wave of its success, series creator Loren Bouchard and star H. Jon Benhamin have announced some of the stars heading to the burger joint this season (which begins Sept. 30).

According to Entertainment Weekly, top-caliber guests, such as Jon Hamm, are heading in. Hamm will play a talking toilet.

“It’s a kind of E.T. homage, but instead of an alien, it’s this high-end talking electronic toilet that falls off a truck and lands in the woods,” says Bouchard. “It’s kind of a love story between a boy and a toilet.”

The series will also host some holiday episodes this season, including a Thanksgiving one with Kevin Kline as the weird landlord with the eyepatch. And a Christmas episode is in the works, with Zack Galifianakis

“He plays this guy who believes he used to be a mannequin,” Bouchard says. “It’s a Christmas episode that’s kind of a very strange take on, like, A Christmas Story meets Mannequin.”

Other guests include Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally (who are married) playing a married couple that run a pot farm, Bob Odenkirk as a crooked insurance adjuster, Will Forte as a "douchey middle-school media guy who kind of brings high-end newscasting to Wagstaff Middle School," Davd Wain as a girl who likes Gene, Jeffrey Tambor as a sea captain, Fred Armisen as a nude-beach inspector and Gary Cole returning as Sergeant Bosco.

Aziz Ansari is also returning as neighborhood geek Darryl.

All of those castings sound like home runs. I really enjoy Bob's Burgers and can't wait for this new season. What do you think?
