Is Sydney Bristow getting back in the game? If Jennifer Garner has her way, yes!
Garner starred as Bristow on ABC's Alias from 2001-2006. The show, which also featured Michael Vartan and Bradley Cooper, was rumored to be rebooted in 2010, minus plots such as the Rambaldi prophecy.
In a Huffington Post article, it is reported that Garner would be all for stepping back into Bristow's shoes, on one condition - J.J. Abrams' return.
"I don’t see him turning around and rebooting 'Alias' anytime soon," said Garner. "If he did it and he was involved, I'm sure the rest of us would sign right up. We had a blast making that show and we're all still super close, so I'm sure you would find an eager group of participants right there."
Garner did admit that she hasn't actually seen the entire series.
"One night I ran across an episode of 'Alias' and it was the weirdest thing," she said. "A lot of episodes maybe I saw but I was so busy at the time, I don't think I even saw them all. Someday I want to go back and watch them. I felt like I was watching a different person. I didn't know what I was talking about, I kind of remembered the outfit but I started speaking another language that I didn't remember learning and then I did a fight I didn't remember. It was crazy."
I can understand why she would be interested, but unfortunately I'm not sure ABC would want her. Her cost has risen, even if her movie career hasn't skyrocketed. She's also 40 years old now and the network might want a totally clean reboot.
What do you think? Would you start fresh or give Jennifer another chance?
