Even though it aired on different affiliates in different markets, ratings give the Cincinnati Bengals-Atlanta Falcons pre-season game a soft win over its competition Thursday night.
The NFL game, airing on Fox, gave the network a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 with 5.2 million viewers, though The Hollywood Reporter said the numbers should see significant changes when time-zone adjustments come in.
The game was carried on NBC affiliates in Cleveland and Milwaukee, and on CBS affiliates in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio.
CBS’ live “Big Brother” was up 28 percent from the previous Thursday, with a 2.3 rating for adults 18-49. The network averaged 1.8 in adults and 6.2 million viewers combined with reruns.
ABC’s “Wipeout” rose 33 percent from the previous week, with a 1.6 rating among 18-49 year olds. Its special “Time Machine Chefs” scored a 1.2 adults rating, while “Rookie Blue” increased 18 percent for a 1.3 rating in that demographic. ABC had a 1.4 rating in adults for the night, and 4.6 million viewers, according to the Reporter.
Interestingly, on the CW a repeat of Wednesday’s “Oh Sit!” premiere did better than the debut of singing competition “The Next,” which at 9 p.m. posted a 0.3 rating in adults 18-49, with 850,000 viewers.
