Whoopi Goldberg his headed back to Glee. The View co-host will be returning to the show this fall after appearing for a few episodes in the show's third season. Goldberg will reprise her role as New York Academy of Dramatic Arts dean Carmen Tibideaux.
Late in the show's third season, Tibideaux decided to let Rachel (Lea Michele) into the school, despite the fact that she had a terrible audition. Kurt (Chris Colfer), meanwhile, nailed his audition, but didn't manage to make it in.
Goldberg will likely share some scenes with Michele's character in the season. She'll be billed as a "special guest star" in her appearances.
THR, who first broke the news, also reported that Samuel Larsen and Alex Newell, winners of the Glee Project season 1, will be back as Joe Hart and Wade/Unique, respectively. Hart's character will likely transfer to McKinley High and join the singing group New Directions. Glee Project season 2 winner Blake Jenner, whose victory was announced this week, will appear in the series for the first time in the fifth episode of season 4.
The fourth season, which will follow some of the Glee club's graduates while also continuing to focus on those still in high school, recently promoted guest star Chord Overstreet to the main cast. The characters of Mike, Quinn, Mercedes, and Noah will reportedly be downsized for the upcoming season.
What do you think? Are you happy to see Goldberg, Larsen, and Newell returning? Are you excited for Glee's fourth season?
