Are you ready to take a trip to Hawaii? Academy Award nominated actor Terrence Howard sure is, as EW.com is reporting that the former Iron Man star has booked a guest appearance on the CBS police procedural.
The name of Howard's character has yet to be released, but we do know he'll be appearing in an episode that features flashbacks to Danny Williams' (Scott Caan) past as a cop in Newark, New Jersey. To say that Howard's and Caan's characters don't get along, would be putting it mildly. Kinda, sorta Karadashian sister Kendall Jenner will also have a small role in the episode, but won't be sharing any scenes with Howard. Personally, I hope that was by his request. The Karadashians get enough TV time, we don't need them invading our cop dramas now.
Hawaii Five-0 has become quite the unexpected hit for CBS. While its an accepted ratings winner for the network now, when a remake of the classic 70's drama was first announced, the reaction was largely apathetic. The concern grew even more after Alex O'Loughlin was cast in the lead role of Steve McGarrett. Despite being a talented actor, O'Loughlin was starting to develop a losing streak after starring in the quickly canceled vampire drama Moonlight, and the even quicker to get the ax medical drama Three Rivers. In the end though, CBS made the right choice, as the show quickly became both a critical and commercial success when it premiered in fall 2010.
The third season of Hawaii Five-0 premieres on September 24th, with Terrence Howard's episode set to air in October. Other confirmed guest stars for the season include Christine Lahti and Ed Asner.
Will you be watching when Hawaii Five-0 returns to the airwaves? Is Terrence Howard a good addition to the show?
