The family from TLC’s “19 Kids & Counting” decided to take it a step further to remember their unborn 20th child, Jubilee Shalom Duggar by taking pictures with the fetal corpse. On Sunday, Michelle Duggar suffered complications in her pregnancy and eventually miscarried Jubilee. The picture was first tweeted by a family member and then spread out from there. Whereas the reaction to this has been mixed with many calling it grotesque and just plain weird, the Duggars stand by their decision to do this with the message “There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”
The Duggars are no stranger to the world and the loss has affected many people. With a loss of a child, remembering Jubilee is what the family feels best to do. With the 5th Season ended and the show on the bubble whether TLC is going to renew the show, a birth of a brand new baby could have secured its place among the airwaves. Michelle and Jim Bob have never looked at their children as a way to profit and have shown time and time again what good parents they are to their 19 current kids. With that many children it is nearly impossible to see where they have time for all of them, but for Michelle and Jim Bob, they say that 19 children is not enough for them. No word yet as to whether or not the couple are going to try again to have that 20th addition to the family.
As for the Memorial, Jim Bob said, “We have had many tears today," said Jim Bob, 46. "This is life, and I understand that we are going though something that many others have. You think about the what-ifs, but God gives us strength to go on. We won't be able to see this child's life and the phases that we've seen for our other children, but we know we will see this child in heaven one day. We are thankful for each child, and we are blessed to have the children we have here and the ones we will meet someday in heaven." The Memorial was held in honor of Jubilee and the family says that they are going to remember this day as the day their Jubilee came into the world. You can view the picture at TMZ. What do you all think of this though? Is it too much press for a miscarriage, something that happens to women every day?
