Last week the world saw the defeat of Rachel Crow who received the least amount of votes. The unfavorable result came about when Scherzinger could not make up her mind between Crow and Canty. That meant the votes would decide the outcome and Crow lost. Now Canty, who received the chance to be in the Top 4, has likewise gotten the boot.
Canty’s departure was expected by the audience. He had been in the bottom two already three times before Thursday’s result show. On top of that, the outcry from fans last week's decision were sure to seal his fate. There was no way that Canty would be moving on. Simon even told him so last night after his negative critique of Canty’s performance of Careless Whisper.
Simon called it grotesque and a throwback to Vegas shows with glitter. In the background you can clearly hear booing by the crowd as the judges give their opinions. What did you think? Did Canty deserve to go home.
Next week is the finale where you will get to vote for the Top Three. Again contestants moving on are Josh Lrajcik, Melanie Amaro, and Chris Rene. Who do you think has the talent to win? Do you know who you will vote for or does it depend on their performances next week?
I want to say Melanie Amaro, but Drug rehab boy Chris Rene is going to win and make X Factor waste the $5 million on him. However, if I know these type of competition shows, producers are going to have Melanie win so that they can sell albums.
