The dreamy Lukas Haas (is he still dreamy? I'm so out of touch with teenage girl culture) has joined the cast of FOX's Touch as Calvin Norburg, an algorithm specialist at the "vaguely sinister" Aster Corps, which is the research facility trying to track down Jack Bower...err...Martin Bohn (Kiefer Sutherland) and his wiz-kid son Jake (David Mazouz), said TV Guide. Norburg is listed as a reluctant evil genius. Poor evil geniuses, life is hard for them.
"He joined Aster Corps strictly for the money, but what he really wants to do is change the world. Watch for him to break away and go through a lot of unexpected changes," said Haas.
Just don't ask him to tell you what the algorithms mean.
"All those equations add up to something, I'm guessing," Haas said, refering to the scribblings behind him. "Just don't ask me what it all means.
Haas has been working in Hollywood since he was seven years old. His credits include Witness, Leap of Faith, Mars Attacks!, Zoolander, Brick, 24, Alpha Dog and Inception.
I haven't caught Touch, but I've heard good things. I think Haas makes a strong addition, as his work in Brick was pretty darn good. He's one of those people that doesn't seem to work as much as his talent level would lead you to believe he should.
