Just reading this makes my head hurt. CBS' CSI:NY is set, obviously, in New York City. But it is filmed in Los Angeles. Now the series is heading to San Francisco to film, with the location representing the backdrop of...San Francisco. Why exactly detectives from New York City are working in San Francisco is a head scratcher. I blame Batman - if he would have stayed in Gotham and not ventured to Hong Kong, none of this would have happened.
Anyways, back on point, Gary Sinise and Sela Ward's characters Mac and Jo are embroiled in a puzzling murder that sends them to Fog City, according to TV Guide's story. They are joined by thirtysomething's Peter Horton, who is guest staring as Jo's ex, FBI agent Cade (sidenote: reading that, I thought it originally said Perez Hilton. That would have been something.).
Expect to see all the well-known San Francisco sites, such as Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, The Palace of Fine Arts rotunda and more. But what excited the cast the most was the weather.
"It was a treat for our team to escape the 110 degree L.A. heat," says executive producer Pam Veasey.
The show will be travelling to New York City soon to film at Central Park and the Chelsea Piers.
