'American Horror Story: Asylum' Releases Creepy New "Bandage" Teaser
American Horror Story is returning for its second season, titled Asylum, in October. We're still a long ways out from that premiere, but creator Ryan Murphy certainly doesn't mind satiating fans. Short teasers, usually no longer than twenty seconds, have been popping up online regularly for the past few weeks. We haven't been able to cover them all, because they just keep coming.
The tenth such teaser hit the web today, and it's titled "Bandages." The clip certainly matches its creepy title; it depicts a woman, ghost-white and with no eyebrows, standing in a forested area (perhaps where the nun was dumping body parts in the first teaser?). She's wearing a striking red dress, and her wrists are bound by bandages that extend in front of her for yards. As the camera pans out to reveal a shot that looks like it's straight out of Japanese cinema, the bandages suddenly yank her offscreen.
And that's it.
Like the clips before it, this one certainly has a well-established mood, but it's almost entirely indecipherable. Obviously this ghostly woman attempted suicide, which is probably her link to the asylum. But what's pulling her? And why does she have no eyebrows? Is this clip even relevant to season 2 at all, other than a similar, creepy vibe?
We'll just have to wait and find out, I guess. I don't know about you, but I really enjoy these little teasers more than I enjoy some episodes of the show itself.

American Horror Story: Asylum will premiere October 17 on FX.
