'Lost's' Jorge Garcia to appear on 'Once Upon A Time'

Jorge Garcia of “Lost” fame will appear on an episode of ABC’s fairy tale drama.

Garcia will play the Giant in an episode in “Once Upon A Time’s” second season. Though his exact episode has not been announced, the show plans a Jack and the Beanstalk episode this season, so Garcia will likely appear on that episode.

“Once Upon A Time” show runners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis were producers on “Lost,” so it’s a bit of a reunion when they hook up with Garcia, who played Hurley. “Lost” alum Emilie de Ravin has appeared on “Once” and is now a regular, and Robert Carlyle also plays Rumplestiltskin.

Garcia recently starred on “Alcatraz” on Fox. He played Dr. Diego Soto on the sci-fi series. He has also appeared on the TV series “Becker,” and his face appeared on the cover of alternative rock band Weezer’s  2010 album “Raditude.”

The second season of “Once Upon A Time” will see new characters including Mulan (played by Jamie Chung); Sir Lancelot (played by Sinqua Walls); Sleeping Beauty (played by Sarah Bolger); Prince Phillip (played by Julian Morris); and Captain Hook (played by Colin O’Donoghue).

“Once Upon A Time” will return Sunday, Sept. 30, at 8 p.m.
