'American Horror Story: Asylum' Promos Give Us First Glimpse of the Cast
If you've been looking to get a glimpse at the cast members from the upcoming second season of FX's American Horror Story, now's your chance. Up until now, promos released for the series have been composed of short, creepy, visual non-sequiturs, featuring everything from a straightjacketed person trapped in a white rose to a nun dumping body parts out of buckets in the woods.
Now, though, the promos for the series at least have some overt ties to what's going on in the story. Two new promos released for the series give us a pretty good look at the characters.
A line of beds goes through the center of a dimly lit room, giving us glimpses of the rather large cast of characters. First, there's Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine as the tattooed half of a couple known only as "the Lovers." We also get glimpses at Lily Rabe's character, a nun, as well as Evan Peters', who is a patient at the asylum. Then there's Chloe Sevigny, dressed provocatively and crawling over her bed.
Then there's Zachary Quinto, who appears to be some sort of protestant minister or something of the sort. And, finally, there are the three who appear to be in charge of it all: Jessica Lange, James Cromwell, and Joseph Fiennes (and is it just me, or does Lange look way younger?).
It's set to a distorted version of the classic song, "Que Sera Sera," which just adds the creepy overtones we've come to expect from American Horror Story.
You can check out the two trailers, which are slightly different, below.
American Horror Story: Asylum premieres October 17 on FX.
