Nickelodeon angry at American Pie star

Leonardo is in trouble.

Well, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle reboot's Leonardo voice actor is. The series, which debuts soon on Nickelodeon, has signed some big names to round out its turtles, including Jason Biggs. And, during the Republican National Convention, Biggs took the time to make some politically-charged tweets.

The problem emerges when you realize that Nickelodeon's twitter account for TMNT encouraged followers to also follow Biggs. And what followers got was a bunch of sexual remarks about Ann Romney and Janna Ryan, the respective wives of the Republican presidential and vice presidential nominees, said the Hollywood Reporter.

"I'd totes dip a pinky or two in Paul Ryan's wife's bleached asshole (she obvs bleaches her asshole.) #RNC” read one Biggs tweet from Aug. 29. Nickelodeon linked to his account on Sept. 1 and Biggs had deleted the "offensive" tweets by then.

Apparently Nickelodeon doesn't like toe sodomy, as it apologized today for the tweets.

“Nickelodeon does not support or condone the use of graphic or vulgar language on any of our platforms,” the network said in a statement. “It was our mistake to link from our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles twitter feed to Jason’s personal twitter account, and we quickly corrected our error. We also insisted Jason use better judgment and discretion in public communications while affiliated with our brand.”

Fox News host Megyn Kelly called Biggs  a “disgusting pig” Wednesday and questioned why Nickelodeon continued to employ him.

“Does that do it? It’s not like he made one comment that he can dial back,” she said on air, obviously forgetting the First Amendment.

They should run with this. If Leonardo talked like that, I'd DVR every episode.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to premiere Sept. 29.

What an ass.  Just because you've got the right to say something doesn't mean you should say it.  There's such a thing as decency.  Worse than that, according to the IMDB, Biggs also has a wife...I wonder how he'd feel if someone said something like that about his wife.  Maybe he should have thought of that before opening his crude mouth.  Everything a person says and does has consequences.  If I were in charge of Nickelodeon, Biggs would be gone...he is now one of the faces and voices of Nickelodeon, and comments like that are definitely not what one wants associated with a children's cable channel.

On one hand, Nickelodeon had to know what it was getting into when they hired the guy most famous for having sex with a pie on camera to do their children's TV show, so it's hard to really feel sorry for Nick here. That said, Biggs is very, very lucky that the Janna Ryan tweet didn't get him fired. I'm not saying he doesn't have the freedom to say whatever he wants, but he really should think before he tweets, or he'll probably lose his (potentially lucrative) TMNT job next time. Although, I'll admit that the thought of Leonardo spouting vulgar sexual tweets makes me chuckle.
