Viewers of The CW’s “Gossip Girl” and CBS’ “Person of Interest” will recognize an actress appearing on a Fox midseason thriller.

Susan Misner has landed a potentially recurring role on Fox’s “Following,” where she will play Jenny, who is a survivor type with a connection to Ryan Hardy’s (played by Kevin Bacon) past.
Kevin Williamson has created the drama, and also wrote and created “Dawson’s Creek,” and served as executive producer on “The Vampire Dairies.” He is also well-know for creating the “Scream” franchise, which MTV is working on turning into a series. Williamson has not been involved in that project. The franchise is owned by The Weinstein Co.
“The Following” features Bacon as an FBI agent and James Purefoy as a serial killer. The two stars play a cat-and-mouse game in the series. The show was revealed to audiences at ComicCon earlier this summer, where it received some strong raves.
Misner has also appeared on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”and “Rescue Me,” and in the Jack Nicholson film “Something’s Gotta Give.”
The Fox thriller, which will also include Maggie Grace (“Lost,” “Taken”), Shawn Ashmore (“X-Men”), Natalie Zea (“Justified”) and Annie Parisse (also from "Person of Interest"), will debut in 2013 on Fox.
