The Travel Channel announced three new unscripted series today that will be coming to TV screens near you soon.
First up is Edge of America, hosted by entertainment journalist Geoff Edgers as he travels America in search of American fun and entertainment. Six half-hour episodes have been ordered.
Next up is Feed the Beast. In it, host Mikey Roe searches for the best American late-night food. Dude, travel to Taco Bell and White Castle, get some volcano tacos and sliders, bing bang boom, easy show to film. Each show will feature a different city and nightlife, as well as Roe eating insane concoctions. So it’s Man vs. Food meets Insomniac with David Attell. Six episodes have been ordered.
Last, but certainly not least, is author/photographer Kevin Michael Connolly's travels in the (working title) Kevin Michael Connolly Project. Connolly was born without legs and, with the help of scientists and backyard engineers, he will cliff dive in Hawaii, climb mountainous trees in the Smokies and learn what it is like to be an astronaut in Houston. Like its two siblings, six episodes have been ordered.
“These exciting new shows and talent offer our viewers highly entertaining, fresh perspectives on travel,” Travel Channel general manager Andy Singer said. “Their authentic points-of-views provide a diverse range of programming that reinforce our mission in reimagining travel entertainment.”
